Bristol Public Library is pleased to announce the latest offering to our patrons—-Wowbrary! This is a weekly email alert that showcases the library’s newest items  from every department including Manross Library.  The first email will go out on Saturday, January 3, 2015 and be delivered every Saturday to anyone who subscribes.Subscribers will be among the first to know about new arrivals and when they see something of interest they will be able to click instantly and place a hold!  Of course this new service is free and we encourage patrons to take advantage of it! New Chess Club @ BPL!

Starting February 3rd, the Bristol Public Library, 5 High Street, will host a new Chess Club, moderated by Muhammed Madni, KMS-Chess. The Chess Club will meet Tuesday & Thursday evenings at the

chess-page-0library, 5:00 – 8:00 PM (Times subject to change).  Learn to play, improve your game, meet other players. Players of all levels are wecome! No charge. Register at BPL or call: (860) 584-7787 x  2023. 

Postponed: Unbroken Lunch & Movie Program Scheduled for 12/30/2014

The library Lunch & Movie excursion, to see the movie  Unbroken, scheduled for 12/30/2014 has been postponed due concerns with the  mixed reviews received by the film.  The library has decided to wait until the more information is available concerning the actual character of the film before making a decision to either re-schedule the trip to the theater or show the film at the library at some future date.  For more information contact the Programming/Public Relations Manager at (860) 584-7787 x 2007.

Dabbawalla Social @ BPL in January

Bristol Public Library, 5  High Street, in Bristol, will host an Indian ”Dabbawalla” Social, on Tuesday, January 27 at 1:00 PM.  Join us for fellowship, sampling Indian foods, and learning about the famous Dabbawallas of Mumbai. No charge.
