All Heart Library Grab & Go Service Now Available at Both Libraries and for Non-Residents by Appointment.

Our patrons may request and pick up books, videos and other items, by  appointment, from Bristol Public Library, through the All-Heart Library Grab & Go Service. The Bristol library buildings remain closed to the public, but our patrons may request library materials by telephone or from the library’s catalog on Bristollib.com.  When items become available, patrons will be contacted by telephone to arrange an appointment for pickup at the library.  Materials will only be available by appointment.  Library staff will charge out, prepackage and label requested items.  Items will then be placed in the main entry way for pick up.  The library will also honor requests from non-Bristol residents.   Patrons should wear mask and gloves during pick up. Please social distance! All library procedures are subject to change at the discretion of the Library Director as conditions merit. Thank you for your patience!

How it Works

  • The Bristol Public Library and Manross Memorial Library buildings are not open to the public at this time.
  • Our patrons may place holds on library materials for pickup at the Bristol Public Library or Manross Library entry way.
  • To request items for pickup a patron must have a valid permanent library card and the pickup library must be Bristol Public Library or Manross Memorial Library.
  • Requests may be made by calling the Reference Department, the Children’s Department or Manross Library as appropriate.
  • Requests may also be made by placing a hold on an item in the library catalog on bristollib.com.
  • Requests will be filled in the order received. Please note: some items listed as “on shelf” may already have existing holds on them. Requests by non-Bristol patrons are now being  filled as well.
  • When items become available, they may be picked up in the main entry way of either library by appointment.
  • Patrons will be contacted by phone by the library staff to arrange a date and time for pickup. Emails contacts are not appointments. An appointment is necessary for all Grab & Go pickups.
  • Available items will be charged out, packaged, marked with the patron’s name and placed in the entry way for pickup at the arranged time.
  • The pickup period for each appointment is 30 minutes.
  • Items not picked up during the 30 minute appointment period are returned to the library shelf or passed on to another patron. A new appointment must then be made to obtain the requested materials.

Please Note– Patrons should consider whether they are comfortable with the following factors:

  • Only items that have been quarantined for at least 72 hours are available for pickup.
  • Patrons should social distance when picking up items.  Patrons should wear masks & gloves for safety.
  • Multiple people may have access to the entry way on any given day or appointment time. Items could potentially be handled by other patrons while awaiting pickup.
