On Tuesday, December 30th, Bristol Public Library will host a lunch & movie trip to a showing of the film Unbroken at AMC Loew’s Cinema, 220 New Britain Avenue, in Plainville. The group will meet in Loew’s lobby and will attend a morning showing on Senior Discount Day. Exact Times TBA. The group will also meet for lunch after the movie at Imperial Buffet. The Bristol Public Library, located at 5 High Street, in Bristol, CT, will be open Sundays, beginning Sunday, January 4, 2015 through Sunday, March 29, 2015, 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM. The library collection includes adult and children’s books, magazines, audio books, E-books, DVDs, CDs and downloadable materials. Internet access and Wi-Fi will also be available on Sundays. 2014 Holiday Mini Book Sale The Friends of the Bristol Public Library will hold a Holiday Mini-Sale beginning on Monday, December 1st in the lobbies of the Bristol Public Library and the Manross Memorial Library. Nearly new books for readers of all ages, movies and CDs, including many holiday-themed and gift-quality items, will be available for purchase at reasonable prices whenever the libraries are open. The sale will allow shoppers to stock up on winter reading material as well as holiday gifts, and the proceeds will help fund reading programs for children, young adults, and adults at both Bristol libraries.
