Remembering Bristol’s Civil War Soldiers is a program presented on the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Antietam, the bloodiest battle in American history, to honor the service and sacrifice of these brave Bristol men.

Online Job Search Strategies with Dr. Marcia LaReau

Looking for a job in today’s economy is tough! It can get even harder when you add in the Internet. While there are many job search tools and sites available online, they can be hard to locate, and even harder to understand or use to your best advantage. So why not come to Bristol Public Library on Tuesday, June 19, at 6 for a free online job search strategy workshop?

Dr. Marcia LaReau will demonstrate how to find opportunities through a specific online process. Dr. LaReau will walk participants through each step of finding employment opportunities. They will learn two key principles of online searching and watch them in action. Participants will leave fully prepared to conduct an efficient and effective job search.

Participants will walk through the newest interview processes being used today and learn what to expect during the interview process, how to prepare for each stage in the interview, how to create messages and adapt them to different hiring professionals, and how to follow-up after the interview.

Try Nia @ Bristol Library

Join us for a free introduction to Nia presented by Elizabeth Simpson of the Yoga Center of Collinsville on Saturday, March 17 at 10. Nia is an expressive movement of mind, body, and spirit blending dance, martial, and healing arts.

A Canton native, Elizabeth Simpson has been practicing the Nia dance technique for four years. She completed the Green Belt level of training with Nia co-founder, Carlos AyaRosas. Elizabeth’s classes are dedicated to supporting movement your body’s way and experiencing the “Joy of Movement”.
