Pianist John Root will perform a diverse repertoire of musical styles from the turn of the previous century. John sings and plays authentic piano arrangements of songs composed during these three decades as they were originally performed. Everyone is invited to sing along with familiar selections!
On Monday, August 4, at 1:00 PM, The Bristol Public Library & the Memorial Military Museum will co-sponsor a program entitled: “Bristol Boys in WW I: The Yankee Division & the Battle of Seicheprey.” The evening will be hosted by Bristol Press Columnist & City Historian, Bob Montgomery and will tell the story of the Bristol soldiers during the first encounter of American and German troops in the First world War. There will also a presentation and exhibit of original artifacts from the battle and the First World War courtesy of the Memorial Military Museum. The program will be held at Bristol Public Library, 5 High Street, in Bristol, CT. There is no charge for this program. Please register at the library or call; (860) 584-7787 x 2023.
