The Friends of the Bristol Public Library 2017 Annual Used Book Sale schedule has been released:

Preview Night: Wednesday, March 1 3:00 PM–7:00 PM ($5.00 admission)
Thursday, March 2, 9:00 AM–7:00 PM
Friday, March 3, 9:00 AM–4:00 PM
Saturday, March 4 9:00 AM–4:00 PM (Half Price Sale after 12:30 PM)
Sunday, March 5, 1:00–3:00 PM ($5.00 Bag Sale)

Special Exhibit in the Bristol History Room Saturday, February 4th!

Bristol History Room Special Exhibit:  Babylonian (cuneiform) writings on 4,000 year-old clay tablets. The tablets were acquired for the Bristol Public Library in the 1920’s by long-time Director, Mr. Charles Wooding. This will be the first public exhibit  of these ancient tablets in recent times. Translated by Elizabeth E. Payne, former Conservator, Babylonian Collection, Yale University. No Charge.

Sunday Hours at the Bristol Public Library

The Bristol Public Library, located at 5 High Street, in Bristol, CT, will be open Sundays, beginning Sunday, January 8, 2017 through Sunday, March 26, 2017, 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM.  The library collection includes adult and children’s books, magazines, audio books, E-books, DVDs, CDs and downloadable materials.  Internet access, all online resources, and Wi-Fi will also be available on Sundays.
