As part of the BPL Coffee House series,NYC singer/songwriter Sheri Miller will be performing a concert at Bristol Public Library, 5 High Street, in Bristol, CT, on Saturday, April 18, @ 2:00 PM. Sheri has been named one of Music Connection’s “Hot 100 Unsigned Artists.” Her album Mantra featured two popular songs, “Right Here, Right Now,” and “All He Has To Do,” which have become wedding favorites. Sheri was a member of The Delilahs, produced by Marcus Hummon (Dixie Chicks, Rascall Flatts). Sheri has co-written songs with Grammy-Award winning songwriters J.D. Souther (The Eagles) and Al Anderson (NRBQ), as well as other hit songwriters. On Saturday, May 16, 2015, the Bristol Public Library is sponsoring a ”Boston Tea Party” bus trip. The bus will leave from Bristol Commons at 8:00 AM and is scheduled to return by 6:30 PM. The $101.00 ($100.00 for seniors) charge includes bus transportation & driver gratuity, guided living history tour of the Meeting House and Tea Party Ships, admission to the Boston Tea Party Museum, and Italian lunch at Maggione’s Restaurant. There will also be time to explore Boston’s Italian North End neighborhood. Registration is now open. Seating is limited. Payment is due within three days of registration. Matthew Bartlett (author of The Gettysburg Chronicle) and Jenn Bartlett will present For the Sake of the Country: Female Spies During the Civil War at Bristol Public Library, 5 High Street, Bristol, CT, on Saturday, March 14 at 2:00 PM. The program tells the stories of 4 women spies (2 Union and 2 Confederate) who risked all for the sake of their country.
