The Lymans of Lyman Orchards: Historical Fiction as a Portal to the Past

Between 1741 and 1871, Lyman men and women established and nurtured a farm and homestead that are owned by descendants to this day. This presentation will be by Diana Ross McCain, an independent historian and author of Thy Children’s Children– a novel based on the true story of the first five generations of the Lyman family of Middlefield, which McCain researched for two decades.

Space may be limited. Advance registration, social distancing and mask wearing are required.

Additionally, discussions of the book will take place on Tuesday, October 12, at 1:30 pm. and Thursday, October 14, at 5:30 pm., which will be led by the Supervisor of Branch Services , F.N. Manross Memorial Library.
