Secret Connecticut: A guide to the weird, wonderful, and obscure!

About this event

Author, Travel Writer, Editor Anastasia “Stasha” Healy tells us surprising stories from her book Secret Connecticut: A Guide to the Weird, Wonderful, and Obscure, such as the Connecticut residents who were president before George Washington, flew before the Wright brothers, and inspired the character of Indiana Jones; where you can go on safari or race a chariot; and how we ended up with America’s smallest Native American reservation.

Anastasia “Stasha” Mills Healy is the author of Secret Connecticut: A Guide to the Weird, Wonderful, and Obscure . Formerly an editor at Condé Nast Traveler, Fodor’s, NYC & Company, and Travel Agent, Stasha is an award-winning freelance writer and editor penning travel features for publications including Time Out and Frommer’s. A proud member of professional organizations including the Society of American Travel Writers, she has been to 64 countries (goal is 100) and all 50 U.S. states.
