On Monday, August 4, at 1:00 PM, The Bristol Public Library & the Memorial Military Museum will co-sponsor a program entitled: “Bristol Boys in WW I: The Yankee Division & the Battle of Seicheprey.” The evening will be hosted by Bristol Press Columnist & City Historian, Bob Montgomery and will tell the story of the Bristol soldiers during the first encounter of American and German troops in the First world War. There will also a presentation and exhibit of original artifacts from the battle and the First World War courtesy of the Memorial Military Museum. The Bristol Public Library & the Manross Memorial Library will be closed Saturday May 24, Sunday May, 25 & Monday May 26, 2014 in observance of Memorial Day. The Bristol Public Library will re-open on Tuesday, May 27 at 8:30 AM and the Manross Memorial Library will re-open Tuesday, May 27 at 10:00 AM.

Lee Daniel’s The Butler is an award-winning drama based on the life White House butler Eugene Allen. Bring your lunch. The library will provide soup & coffee.
