The City will begin replacing all computers at Bristol Main on June 20 (F.N. Manross Memorial beginning June 19), so computers will not be available to you. We do not know how long this process will take, but we will let you know as soon as the new computers are ready.

The computer lab at Bristol Main will also be closed. We apologize for the inconvenience and frustration this will cause you. Questions? Please call the Reference Desk at 860-584-7787 x2017.

WiFi remains available at both libraries.

Come, Meet Our New Computer Lab Instructor

We’re pleased to say the Computer Lab has been reopened under the guidance of our new Computer Lab Instructor, Chris Soper! Chris previously worked at Manchester Public Library as a Library assistant who specialized in helping the public with computers. He is currently working on his Master’s of Library Science at Southern Connecticut State University.

Chris loves to read and would love to hear your recommendations for great dystopian-type novels. Currently, his favorite books are Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card, Rot and Ruin by Jonathan Mayberry, and the series A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin.

Our new Computer Lab Instructor, Chris Soper

Chris says:

“My goal as the Computer Lab Instructor is to provide new, fun and educational programs to the public. My hope is for people to learn about the advantages of technology and how it can help you with your technological needs. I’m very friendly and I don’t bite, so please visit and ask me anything you would like to know about computers or other electronic devices.”
