Join BPL in Supporting Local Independent Authors!

On Wednesday, April 15, 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM, Bristol Public Library, 5 High Street, will host ”Authors Next Door,” A local author fair in honor of National Library Week.  The program will include meeting and supporting local independent authors, door  prizes, book tables, book signings, and short reading and talks from our authors throughout the evening. Stop in anytime between 7 and 9 PM. Featured authors include: Janet Barrett, Patti Brooks, Frank DeFrancesco, Michael Dooling, Joe Hurley, Dawn Leger, Salvatore LoGiudice, Latoya McPherson, Janina Nawarskas & Chuck Radda. There is no charge for this event. Information: (860) 584-7787 x 2023. Refreshments courtesy of the Friends of the Bristol Public Library.

Spots Still Available for Boston Tea Party Bus Trip!

On Saturday, May 16, 2015, the Bristol Public Library is sponsoring a  ”Boston Tea Party” bus trip.  The bus will leave from Bristol Commons at 8:00 AM and is scheduled to return by 6:30 PM. The $101.00 ($100.00 for seniors) charge includes bus transportation & driver gratuity, guided living history tour of the Meeting House and Tea Party Ships, admission to the Boston Tea Party Museum, and Italian lunch at Maggione’s Restaurant.  There will also be time to explore Boston’s Italian North End neighborhood.  Registration is now open. Seating is limited.  Payment is due within three days of registration.  Checks payable to “Friendship Tours.” For more information, or to register, please visit the library or call (860) 584-7787 x 2023.  All are Welcome.

Friends of BPL Annual Used Book Sale Dates & Times!

The Friends of Bristol Public Library has announced the hours for the Annual Friends’ Used Book Sale at Bristol Public Library.   The book sale hours will be as follows:

Wednesday, February 25, 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM (Preview Sale–$5.00 admission)
Thursday, February 26, 9:00 AM — 7:00 PM
Friday, February 27, 9:00 AM — 4:00 PM
Saturday, February 28, 9:00 AM — 4:00 PM
Sunday, March 1,  1:00 PM — 3:00 PM ($5.00 Bag Sale).
