Music for all Ages at Manross Library!

Willie Was Different and Other Musical Tales

At 2:00 PM on Saturday October 25, the Manross Library will present “Willie Was Different and Other Musical Tales,” a free concert for music lovers of all ages.

The heart of the program features four musicians performing a composition based on the children’s story by Norman Rockwell. Music and narration bring to life the tale of Willie the wood thrush, who has a special talent for beautiful improvisations on his native birdsong. Other chamber, classical, and whimsical arrangements round out this delightful performance by Tracy Norkun, flute; Andrew Raibeck, clarinet; Karla Lee, bassoon; and Jean Degan, piano.

This concert, complete with light refreshments, has been made possible by a generous grant from the Friends of the Bristol Public Library. Please visit the library or call 860.584.7790 to register.
