The presentation by Colleen Plimpton, in character as America’s first female landscape architect, has been rescheduled to March 30th due to the strong possibility of hazardous travel conditions.

The Main Library and the F.N. Manross Memorial Library are now scheduled to resume normal hours of operation on Tuesday, February 12.
Normal hours are scheduled to resume on Monday.

Please join us on Saturday, February 23, at 2:00 p.m., when Dr. Matthew Warshauer, CCSU professor of history and co-chair of the Connecticut Civil War Commission, will give a presentation on the history of the Emancipation Proclamations. In addition to covering the course of action President Abraham Lincoln took leading up to the issuing of the final Emancipation Proclamation on New Year’s Day, 1863, Dr. Warshauer will also shed light on the topic from a Connecticut historical perspective.
This free event, co-sponsored by the Bristol Historical Society and the Bristol Public Library, will take place in meeting room 1 on the lower level of the Main Library. No registration is necessary.
