Chocolate @ the Library!

chocolateChocolatier Maria Brandriff’s presentation includes a discussion of the varieties of chocolate available, how to work with chocolate, and teaching the basics of chocolate truffle making. This program is a demo with generous samples. Maria holds a certificate in Gastronomy from the University of New Haven and studied with a professional chocolatier in the city of Arles in Provence, France. Tuesday, August 25, Recorded Books will perform an upgrade to the OneClickdigital service. This update will begin at 11:00 p.m. EST and will last approximately 2 hours. During this time, the service will be unavailable and neither eAudios nor eBooks will be available for search, checkout, hold, or download. Instead, a maintenance notification will appear on the OneClickdigital site during the downtime.

Red Cross Blood Drive Moved to Library

The Red Cross Blood Drive scheduled for Friday, August 21st at Bristol Hospital          has been moved to the Lower Level of the Bristol Public Library. Bristol’s New Quick Flicks

Bristol’s Quick Flicks is a fast and easy way to view the latest movies!   Popular new DVD releases are now available on a first-come, first-served basis, to be charged out for a 7-day loan period with no renewals or holds.  Adult Cards only. Limit of 2 per person present at the time of checkout.  Overdue Fee: $1.00 per day. Quick Flicks must be returned directly to Bristol Public Library.

BPL is happy to welcome UK Folk/Jazz Fusion singer/songwriter Sarah McQuaid to Bristol for  a special Mum Fest edition of the Library Coffee House, on Thursday, September 24 @ 6:30 PM.  Sarah is  currently on an international tour promoting her new album Walking into White.
