The American Red Cross Charter Oak Chapter is a non-profit, non-governmental human services organization with offices in Farmington and Waterford, Connecticut. Its lifesaving and emergency preparedness mission is carried out locally by a small, highly skilled professional staff and a corps of nearly 1,000 dedicated volunteers. The Charter Oak Chapter serves 83 communities in Hartford, Litchfield, New London, Tolland and Windham counties and Fishers Island, N.Y. The Charter Oak Chapter provides disaster relief and recovery assistance free of charge. The Charter Oak Chapter is committed to disaster prevention and provides high-quality health and safety programs and services that help individuals, families and organizations prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.
